Sealed bids for DEMOLISH OLD HEALTH CENTER AND OUTLYING CLINIC, MARCH 2024 will be received by the Mississippi Band of Choctaw Indians, herein called the “OWNER” at the OFFICE OF ENGINEERING SERVICES, 258 INDUSTRIAL ROAD, CHOCTAW, MISSISSIPPI 39350 on APRIL 10, 2024 AT 2:00 P.M. CENTRAL TIME, at which place and time bids will be publicly opened and read aloud.
Bidders shall submit their bids either in a sealed envelope or electronically. Electronic bids shall be submitted online at www.choctawbids.org. All bids shall include a copy of Bidder’s Certificate of Responsibility and Asbestos Abatement Certification as an attachment. The Project shall be identified as follows:

A pre-bid meeting is scheduled for March 27, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. Central Time in the Conference Room of the Choctaw Public Works Department located at 258 Industrial Road, Choctaw, MS 39350. Plan holders will be notified of any changes to the date, time, or location of the pre-bid meeting by the Choctaw Public Works Department. All plan holders are encouraged to attend. Bid preparation will be in accordance with Instructions to Bidders in the Contract Documents.
The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any irregularities.
The required work is associated with demolition of the Old Choctaw Health Center in the Pearl River community of Neshoba County, Mississippi, and demolition of the old Health Clinic in the Red Water Community of Leake County, Mississippi. Work will include, but will not be limited to: removal of steel framed masonry buildings, pavement, water, sewer, and electrical utilities, concrete foundations, chain link fencing, a sewage pumping station, an elevated water tank, and other smaller steel storage tanks. Work will require capping of existing utilities and restoration of demolition sites, including all associated stormwater pollution prevention best management practices. All materials shall be removed from the project site and disposed of at a facility approved for the disposal of said materials in accordance with all applicable regulations.
Bids shall be accompanied by bid security in the form of a bid bond, certified check, or cashier’s check in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the bid amount made payable to the Mississippi Band of Choctaw Indians. MBCI reserves the right to reject any and all bids; to waive any and all informalities not involving price, time, or changes in the work; to negotiate contract terms with the successful bidder; to disregard any bid which it deems to be non-conforming, irresponsible, non-responsive, unbalanced or conditional; to hold all bids for examination for a period of up to sixty (60) days after their opening; and to award a contract to the bidder whose bid, after evaluation pursuant to all applicable requirements of the bidding documents, is considered to be the one which is in the best interest of the Mississippi Band of Choctaw Indians. The evaluation criteria to be utilized in selecting the successful Bidder are presented in the Contract Documents.
